Forma del Agua va por 13 al Oscar

La Forma del Agua, el fastuoso romance con un monstruo de Guillermo del Toro, pescó ayer 13 nominaciones a los premios Oscar, incluyendo mejor película y dirección.

Los votantes del Oscar postularon nueve producciones a mejor película: La Forma del Agua, el drama de venganza de Martin McDonaugh Tres Anuncios a las Afueras, el relato de Gerwig sobre la llegada a la adultez Lady Bird, la sensación de terror de Jordan Peele ¡Huye!, el drama de Joe Wright sobre Winston Churchill El Instante más Oscuro, el oportuno drama periodístico de Steven Spielberg The Post, la épica de guerra de Christopher Nolan Dunquerque, la tierna historia de amor de Luca Guadagnino Llámame por tu Nombre y el retorcido romance de Paul Thomas Anderson Phantom Thread.

Guillermo del Toro se dijo contento tras recibir nominaciones al premio Oscar por la película La Forma del Agua.

“Gracias a la Academia y a mis colegas por este momento de alegría en un viaje de 25 años como contador de historias”, escribió el cineasta mexicano en Twitter.

La Forma del Agua compite en 13 categorías, más que cualquier otra cinta de 2017. Del Toro está nominado a mejor película, mejor director y mejor guion original.

El originario de Jalisco fue nominado en 2007 a un Premio de la Academia, por mejor guión original, gracias a El Laberinto del Fauno.
